No index figure for January 2026, so there is no change to state; the levels are against February 2026 = 100. Same car, different price is the quality-adjusted index: each arrival’s first asking price with model, trim, age, mileage and certification held fixed, so its change is the same kind of car being asked more or less. Different cars is the raw average of the same first asking prices, which also moves when newer, older, dearer or cheaper cars arrive; the gap between the two is the mix. 730 arrivals of February 2026 are in the index (February 2026 = 100). The whole series is refitted each night, so a month can move a little after it closes.

Counted by the day a collection saw each listing appear or disappear. The month’s sale-like exits had been listed a median of 9 days: cars that left only, so not how long listings stay up, which time to delisting below follows for the month’s arrivals. The lot: 1,265 listings with a price on Feb 2, 2026 and 1,267 on Feb 28, 2026, the month’s first and last daily snapshots (call-for-price placeholders included).

Kaplan-Meier time to delisting, not time to sale, for the 765 listings first seen this month, followed to Oct 2, 2026: a listing that left the feed in a sale-like way ends at its days on market, and one still listed, relisted or whose dealer left the feed counts for as long as it was watched. It firms up as the month’s slow sellers resolve.

Asking-price moves only: a change of $100 or more that is not a correction of a first price (a change of 25% or more within 14 days of first sighting).

A day is observed when that day’s analytics pass wrote its snapshot, and rebuilt when its snapshot was filled in later from listings’ recorded prices and sightings — real data, reconstructed afterwards. A day with no snapshot had no collection, or one whose snapshot was never written. The days before tracking began and after the latest collection are not counted.
