Front Passenger Airbag Inflator
If the vehicle is involved in a crash requiring an airbag deployment, the airbag inflator could rupture and create a risk of injury.
Wiper Motor Cover Recall (2010-13 Legacy/Outback)
Due to contamination, components within the windshield wiper bottom cover may interfere with each other. If an obstruction, such as a buildup of snow or ice prevents the wiper arms from being able to stop in the parked position, the wiper motor may overheat and the bottom cover may melt. If the windshield wiper motor overheats, the wipers may fail, reducing driver visibility and increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, the wiper motor cover may melt, increasing the risk of a fire.
Dealer installed Remote Starter Transmitter Fobs 2010-12 Legacy/Outback AT/CVT 2012-13 impreza CVT (Except WRX/STI 2013 XV W/CVT
Subaru has determined that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in affected vehicles equipped with the optional Genuine Subaru Remote Engine Starter (RES) Transmitter fobs may contain a defect that could adversely affect the operation of the RES resulting in a potential safety hazard. If an RES transmitter fob is dropped, movement of the internal battery retaining clip may occur and cause damage to a component on the PC board. Under this condition, the fob may transmit an engine start (or stop) request without the user pressing the button. If the vehicle is in range and receives the request, the engine may start and run for up to 15 minutes (or until a stop request is received). The engine may continue to start and stop until the fob battery is depleted, or until the vehicle runs out of fuel. If that occurs when the vehicle is parked in an enclosed area, such as a garage, there is a risk of carbon monoxide build- up, which may pose a safety hazard. The defect does not pose a risk while driving because the RES system is completely deactivated after the vehicle is started with the key. Original Equipment (OE) keyless entry fobs integrated on a vehicle key are not affected.
Puddle Lamps (Dealer installed accessory) 2006=2012MY Tribeca - 2009-2011 Legacy/Outback 2009-2012 Forester
Subaru has determined that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in affected vehicles equipped with optional Genuine Subaru Puddle Lights may develop a short circuit and cause the related components to overheat and potentially melt, A short circuit can develop when either the puddle lights or their connectors are exposed to an electrolytic moisture source (i.e. salt water) and it penetrates the circuit board of the puddle light or the pins of the puddle light connector(s). If the puddle lights or connectors were to overheat, they could melt and pose a risk of fire.
